Dr. Seuss comes to Joseph Martin

Students at Joseph Martin Elementary School recently held a weeklong celebration in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the 50th anniversary of his famous book, “The Cat in the Hat.” During the observance, students participated in a Dr. Seuss character trivia contest, wore “Cat in the Hat” hats and were entertained by a dramatic reading of the book by teachers Rebecca Metivier as Brother, Suzanne Harris as Sister, Frank Kelso as Fish, media specialist Elaine Walker as the Cat in the Hat and students Daniel Harris as Thing 1 and Elle Metivier as Thing 2.
