FFA'ers learn about organization

POSTED: April 26, 2007 5:02 a.m.
Members of the Liberty County FFA Chapter attended the FFA Success Conference March 2-3, at the FFA/FCCLA Center near Covington.
During the conference, members were challenged to begin planning for life after high school. Participants attended sessions on resume development and interviewing. They also attended a college fair and had an opportunity to visit with professionals within the agriculture industry. The Success Conference is held annually for students in grades 10-12.
FFA state officer and conference presenter, Raymond Fitzpatrick, said “Success Conference introduces students to the many different career areas in agriculture as well as familiarizing them with many of the colleges and universities in the state of Georgia.”
The Georgia FFA Association is the third largest state association in the nation.  The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
