Frank Long Elementary students are doing an outstanding job with Accelerated Reader and reading. Classes are challenging each other as they compete for points and prizes.
Morgan Eminhizer in Patty Moody’s third-grade class was the top reader for January, earning 162 points.
FLE uses Renaissance Place to help build a culture of reading throughout the school and to make reading practice more effective for every student with Accelerated Reader. This program offers a feature called Home Connect that allows parents to access their child’s reading record, as well as receive e-mails showing the student’s quiz results. Parents can obtain more information from homeroom teachers or the media specialist, Dr. Melissa Sands.
Visit the school Web site to see previous monthly top readers, and to access important parent information.
