Members of the Liberty County FFA Chapter recently attended the FFA Greenhand Jamboree March 2-3 at the FFA/FCCLA Center near Covington.
During the two-day conference, members were exposed to the opportunities FFA holds and were challenged to become active. Members also attended workshops on leadership during their stay and had the opportunity to interact with other FFA members from across the state.
The Greenhand Jamboree is held annually for ninth grade students to help expose them to FFA.
State officer and conference presenter Justin Hand said, “The Greenhand Jamboree is designed to inform first year FFA members about all of the leadership, career development and personal growth opportunities that the FFA can offer them.”
Liberty County FFA advisor is Hillary Cobb Fanning.
The Georgia FFA Association is the third largest state association in the nation.
FFA aims to makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
