Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Where was Bill Shipp educated? In a recent column he said “this democracy.” The USA is a republic, not a democracy.

Care is being delayed at the health department because the employees are having to act as janitors. Do they not have enough money for janitors? They are hurting patients.

Boaters, be ware. The road at the Sunbury ramp has been booby trapped to break boat trailers.

Unemployment is at the highest rate in decades and we still have non-American speaking, illegal aliens running every convenience store in town.

I see in the paper where a group of Republicans are trying to revamp their morals and rebuild. You’re not going to do it. The Republican party is dead, went the way of the old South. It’s only a few militants hanging on.
