SAVANNAH — Ten of the 11 students taking EMT courses at Savannah Technical College this fall passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Certification Exam, according to the school.
Eight of the students were also first-time test takers.
“I am extremely proud of this class,” Walter Webel, department head for emergency medical technician and paramedic technology, said.
“This group worked really hard and instructor Summer Patterson did a great job preparing them for the test.”
Savannah Tech’s Liberty Campus received approval to conduct the national registry certification test for emergency medical technicians. This approval includes both the computer and the practical, hands-on portion of the test.
For more information on the Emergency Medical Technology program, call Melanie Smith, enrollment and retention specialist for Allied Health, at (912) 443-5883 or email msmith@savannahtech.edu
