Long crowns 2007 king, princes

LUDOWICI — The Blue Tide crowned the 2007 homecoming king and princes Friday during the Long County verses Pierce County basketball game.
The 2007 homecoming king was senior Gregory Holmes Jr., who escorted his mother. Holmes played football and runs track for the Blue Tide. He also is a member of the Youth Advisory Council, and the senior class vice president. He hopes to attend college upon graduation, and is the son of Gregory and Inez Holmes.
The junior prince was Prince Moody, who escorted Takeenah Jones. Moody plays football, basketball, runs track and hopes to play baseball for the Blue Tide this season. He is the sergeant-of-arms for the junior class, and plans to attend college and major in business after graduation. His parents are Lawrence and Nadine Moody.
The sophomore prince was Ricky Rivera, who escorted Mich’e Roberts. Rivera plays football, basketball, baseball, and runs track for the Tide. He also is a member of the Science Club, International Club and is a volunteer with the Special Olympics. He plans to attend Georgia Tech upon graduation. His mother is Aura Patricia Childress.
The freshman prince was Preston Cunningham, who escorted Kamaren Dansby.  Cunningham plays football, basketball and runs track for the Tide, and plans to attend Florida State University, upon graduation. His parents are Rodney and Dionnie Motley.
