Sound off for Dec. 13

POSTED: December 14, 2009 9:39 a.m.

Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

To the young lady who had the incident at Wal-Mart with the Hinesville Police. Why don’t you have your lawyer go in Walmart and review the tape? I had the same incident happen to me.

Today’s sports page says, quote, Liberty boys hang on to beat Bradwell. Liberty won by 20, 70-50. That’s not hanging on. That’s domination.

If, on the day after Thanksgiving, all these stores can offer all these great sales that do so much for the economy, why not do it every day of the year. Wouldn’t that make a lot more sense?

The furlough days will be announced when they are announced. The fall furloughs were ordered by the governor, who happens to be a lame duck. So we can’t not vote for him.

I just read your Sunday paper and I could swear the Sound off in there was identical to the one that was in Friday. I can’t believe you didn’t get any new calls.

Who is the stupidest woman in America, Nancy Pelosi or Hillary Clinton? Please vote.

The shootings on Fort Hood, the woman who sold her daughter into prostitution and now they gun down four cops in Seattle. We need to bring back public executions by hanging within 60 days of the offense.
