Members of the Alliance of Administrators are busy preparing for their annual conference on April 23-24.
Immediately after one conference is completed, plans get underway for the next conference. The theme for this year’s conference is, “Serving with Fresh Fire.”
Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hinesville, under the leadership of Dr. M.L. Jackson, will again host the conference. An impressive list of speakers is scheduled.
“This is an educational and training conference promoting excellence in ministry and service. It is designed for pastors, ministers, church administrators, ministry leaders, finance staff, ushers, greeters and other church workers. And it will refresh, refocus and equip ministry workers,” Elder Daisy P. Jones of Mt. Zion said.
She is conference coordinator.
Jones, Evangelist Sheletta Beverly (Temple of Praise Ministries) and Minister Brianne Felton (Fellowship of Love Church of God in Christ) lead the Alliance, which is a non-profit ministry. Since being established, the Alliance has gained the trust and confidence of leaders as a credible God-ordained organization with one focus: Kingdom Service and Kingdom Excellence.
Local and national speakers will lead the various workshops and conduct the worship services. Special conference guest speakers include Bishop Troy Anthony Bronner (Elim Christian Church, Buffalo, N.Y.), Pastor Delton Ellis (Keepers of the Temple, Nassau, Bahamas), Bishop Julian A. Jones (Higher Dimension Fellowship, Rincon), Dr. Sherry Gaither (Stronghold Christian Church, Lithonia), Pastor Gregory Brunson (First Baptist Church, Rincon), Pastor K.E. Brown (Destiny Christian Center, Hinesville), Coach Kevin Thomas (Southeast Business Development Group) and the Rev. Jimmy Seright and Avery Bates (Niagara Falls, N.Y.).
The guest psalmist will be Elder Earnest Pugh (chart-topping recording artist of the hit, “Rain on Us”). Pugh of Ebenezer AME Church, Fort Washington, Md., was the guest psalmist at the Easter Sunday service at Allen Chapel AME Church in D.C., where President Barack Obama and his family attended.
Sessions begin on Friday at 11:30 a.m., with evening services at 7. On Saturday morning, workshops begin at 7:45. There will also be a session for senior pastors only.
Friday’s events are free and open to the public. Paid registration is required for Saturday.
For more information, call Jones at 876-6379, Beverly at 876-6459 or Felton at 877-6080.
