The Liberty County branch of the National Association of Colored People has launched its first Web site.
When the NAACP was founded in 1909, the Internet and television didn’t exist.
The media has changed significantly and the Liberty County NAACP intends to be current by utilizing the Internet to serve it members and a more technologically savvy audience.
The Liberty branch has established its first Web site that features a message from the new president, the Rev. Liston Singletary III, health information, the NAACP calendar, history on the chapter, voter registration, membership and more.
Liberty County citizens are invited to visit the new Web site at www.libertycountynaacp.org
The Liberty branch was founded in 1953 and membership is open to all people.
Membership applications are available on-line or by calling 884-7334.
