He is scheduled to serve 15 years and have five years of probation. He is also scheduled to serve an additional five years of probation for the charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, which will be served consecutively giving him a mandatory 25-year sentence.
Chipp shot Harrell with an AK-47 assault rifle after an altercation that began inside the club spilled out to the parking lot. By pleading to the lesser charges Chipp avoided a trial in front of a jury where if convicted, he faced a possible life sentence.
