Long County Sheriff Cecil Nobles and Deputy Shane Middleton display two of the marijuana plants found Wednesday.

Several marijuana plants, ranging in height from 4-6 feet, were found Wednesday by officials from the Long County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Long County Sheriff Cecil Nobles, Deputy Shane Middleton received an anonymous tip that marijuana plants reportedly were growing near Highway 57 in the southeast portion of the county.
Middleton drove to the area and found five large plants.
Nobles said the marijuana plants were destroyed.
