Sound off for Sept. 10

POSTED: September 10, 2010 1:11 p.m.

Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Let me tell you how my sister is. She says she helps everyone, but she does not. She’d rather eat meals by the handful than help her own family.

All visitors should let people know when you are coming. If someone comes to your door, be prepared to protect yourself and your property.

I’d like to warn the Waterfield community. Pay attention to your water bills. They’re not checking the meters, or I don’t know. Bills are outrageous.

Please, mosquito, bug spraying truck, come through Isle of Wight slow with something besides water in the spray. We need a good spraying.

Residents, friends and family at Raintree, please respect the private property that borders the complex. Cutting through other people’s property is against the law, and disrespectful. I can only hope that some day you’ll also own property and see how it feels.

I advise everybody to fill up in Richmond Hill, where the price of gasoline was $2.39. Here, it was $2.59 this weekend.

It really speaks well for a class of people when young people walk around with the pants down to their knees and their underwear is showing.
