Soldier killed in Friday accident identified

A Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield soldier died Friday night when his motorcycle crashed into the guardrail on Veterans Parkway near the intersection of I-516 in Savannah.

Killed in the accident was Spc. Raymond C. Christian, of Mt. Gilead, N.C.  A cook, Christian was assigned to the 24th Ordnance Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion, at Hunter Army Airfield.  He joined the Army in May 2004 and arrived at the installation in Oct. 2004.
