The Long County Chamber of Commerce last week celebrated the opening of attorney John Pirkle’s new office in Ludowici with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Chamber President Kerry Hunt welcomed the crowd and Pirkle addressed attendees. He said he feels there’s a need in Long County for an additional attorney and this is a good time to open a new office.
“I worked with Richard Phillips on many cases over the years and he was a good friend of mine. With his passing, I felt that there was a need in Long County for another law office,” Pirkle said. “More growth is coming. Dry land is over here and it’s obvious that the subdivisions and houses are heading in this direction … I know most of the people over here and look forward to serving this community.”
Long County Sheriff Cecil Nobles, who attended the opening, said, “I’ve known John for over 30 years. I’m happy to see him coming over to Ludowici and I think he’ll do a fine job.”
After the ribbon-cutting, guest enjoyed refreshments and door prizes were raffled off. Deotha Johnson won a pecan gift basket; Ann Parker won a pecan gift pack; Mary Hamilton won an office gift pack; and Miriam Murray won a decorative clock. The prizes were donated by Kelli Mock, Ludowici Drug Store, and VIP Of fice Furniture and Supply in Hinesville.
Paralegal Teresa Fowler said Pirkle’s office will be open from 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will provide full legal services.
