The Georgia Southern University chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society recently inducted 242 new members. To become a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or greater during their freshmen year at the University.
Students from Liberty County who were inducted were Kelsey Allmond, Ashley Burnett, Karl Dorsey Jr., Sharonda Dugger, Natalie LeBron and Rachel Parrish, all of Hinesville; and Alexander Wieberg of Walthourville
“Membership in Phi Eta Sigma recognizes the elements of an unimpeachable character, a body that is well cared for and a well-disciplined mind,” said Christopher Caplinger, faculty advisor to the chapter and director of the University’s First Year Experience program.
