LCRD starting after-school program

POSTED: August 23, 2007 5:03 a.m.
Registration is under way for the 2007-2008 Liberty County Recreation Department’s after-school program.
For children in kindergarten through fifth grade, the new program will provide a safe, after-school alternative to day care.
Transportation from school, snacks, recreational activities, study time and more will be offered.
The program is being provided at Shuman Recreation Center, a climate-controlled facility with a large gymnasium and game rooms.
The center is in James Brown Park, which provides access to an outdoor playground, walking trail, soccer and softball fields.
The cost for the program is $45 per week with a limited number of slots available.
For more information, call the LCRD office at 876-5359.
