Atlantic Area CASA will begin volunteer training Jan. 14. Training will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the conference room of the Liberty County Health Department on Highway 84 in Hinesville. Sessions will be held on Jan. 14, 21, 28 and Feb. 4.
New volunteers must complete all four training dates. Anyone interested in volunteering can call Jessica Moody at 876-3816 or e-mail moodyatlanticcasa@centurytel.net.
CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a nonprofit that advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system. Volunteers must fill out an application, pass a background check and complete an interview and mandatory training.
