State Rep. Al Williams will host a public hearing on behalf of the Liberty County Association of Retarded Children at 7 p.m. Aug. 13.

The meeting will take place in the commissioners’ meeting room in the courthouse annex. The topic will be recent cuts in funding and concerns on the long-term future of the program.

Other state legislators are also expected to attend. The community is invited to express concerns and share ideas.
