Donations are music to band students' ears

POSTED: September 8, 2007 5:04 a.m.
Bradwell Institute received a donation Aug. 22 from the Hinesville Jazz/Poets Meet-up Group. A flute, clarinet and a trumpet were given to the school band. “The band is very appreciative,” Daryl Wolfram, band director, (left) said. The instruments will be loaned to students who cannot afford to buy one. Alphonso Wright, founder of the Hinesville Jazz/Poets Meet-up Group, said there is an ongoing effort to donate instruments.
