Do you believe God has plans for something great to happen in your life? You know deep inside that God is able and willing, and you know that His word will accomplish what it is sent out to do.
You are standing on His promises and living the life, but for some reason your life has been reduced to just sitting around waiting and waiting for something to happen. And today is just like yesterday, and tomorrow is expected to be the same.
You have done absolutely everything that you know to do, but your income has not increased, your kids are still out of control and your boss is more demanding and intolerant than ever.
The Bible says that when you have done your all to stand, just “stand there therefore.” In other words, when you’re standing on the word, you’re in the best possible place. There is nothing more you can do, but trust God and depend on His word to supply all you need.
But while you’re standing in faith, you should start praising God for your answer.
If you believe that God has control of your situation, then you won’t worry or become restless and upset. You won’t allow impatience and doubt to disturb your peace. You will simply enter into His rest with thanksgiving and worship for His faithfulness in answering your request.
You see, if you have a need, then you are in line for a blessing. Jesus came to turn your lack into abundance and your turmoil into peace. No matter how improbable or impossible things may appear to be, God can and will work it out for you.
Whatever it is that you need from God, just say, “I believe and I receive.” Each time the devil says it will not come to pass, cast down that thought and start praising God.
Waiting on God is a vital part of the faith walk. If we praise God while we are waiting, it helps us to keep our minds on who God is instead of the seriousness of our situation. We serve a mighty God, and He is worthy of all praise. As we learn to praise Him while we are waiting, we will experience the joy of being in His presence all the time.
