Three Scott’s All-Stars players attended Middle School Elite camp, a national exposure camp at Fordham University in the Bronx, N.Y., on March 26-27.

All-Star players Russell Dandy, Marcus Scott V and Andre Burnett were among some of the top players representing fourth through ninth grades across the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada. The three All-Stars got to participate in various drills and competed against some of the most talented fifth-graders in the country.

"Our three fifth-graders did exceptionally well," All-Stars founder and coach Marcus Scott IV said. "Although our three boys were split up on different teams, all three players had major contributions to their team’s success."

Scott said guest speaker Torrel Harris (father of University of Tennessee freshman guard Tobias Harris) instilled the importance of academics to the young players.

"He told parents not to let their child travel with AAU teams if their child is failing classes," Scott said.

All three players received a pair of Michael Jordan shoes for attending the camp.

"Judging from our kid’s success at this camp, we can definitely see that our program is on the right track in terms of making sure our players are prepared to compete nationally," Scott said. "There were several nationally ranked kids at the camp. Coach (Darrell) West and the rest of the coaching staff are doing a great job of working with our kids on fundamental skills."
