KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee redshirt junior center Kelley Cain is ending her career after multiple surgeries and having to continually cope with pain in her hip, back and knees.

Coach Pat Summitt said Tuesday she appreciated the contributions by Cain, who is set to graduate this semester with a degree in marketing and logistics.

The 6-foot-6 Atlanta native recorded 228 blocks in 92 games over three seasons, the third most blocks in Lady Vols history. She averaged 8.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2009-10, Cain set Tennessee's single-season record with 113 blocks, including a team single-game record of 12 blocks against LSU on Feb. 22, 2010. She led the Southeastern Conference in swats in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
