Seventeen young ladies competed in the 2011 Tri-County Beauty Pageant last Saturday at the Celebration Castle in Long County.
The annual pageant, sponsored by KIDZ-ETC, allows girls of all ages from Liberty, Tattnall and Long counties to showcase their poise, character and beauty.
The business sponsors for this year’s pageant were Mission Essential; Melanie’s Glistening Gowns; Town & Country Beauty, Floral, and Tanning; Jazz Em Up Pepper; Bobbie Wilson Make-Up & Hair; Tattoos By Drew; Colonial Bridal Shop; and Celebration Castle. Debbi Gaitten emceed the event, and Casey Gaskin, Kathy Walter, Traci McGowan and Timi Horne tabulated the results.
“We would like to give a special thank you to all contestants, parents, sponsors, judges and guests who attended the pageant today. Also, a special thanks goes out to Mr. Chuck and Ms. Annette (Abbey) for the use of their facility,” pageant coordinator Kelli Mock said.
KIDZ-ETZ puts on several area pageants throughout the year.
The nonprofit group’s proceeds provide scholarships to young ladies in the area who have high moral standards and admirable character traits.
