Each year, Americans cope with an average of 10,000 thunderstorms, 5,000 floods, 1,000 tornadoes, as well as an average of six deadly hurricanes. Potentially deadly weather impacts every American.
StormReady communities are prepared to save lives from the onslaught of severe weather through better planning, education, and awareness.
The Long County Emergency Management Agency will conduct storm-spotter training at 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Ludowici City Hall on Macon Street in Ludowici. The training is open to the public.
If you wish to attend, call the LEMA at 545-2143.
