Mike Berlon, chairman of the Georgia Democratic Party, will be the keynote speaker at the Liberty County Democratic Party’s annual awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in the old Walmart Shopping Center on Gen. Screven Way in Hinesville.

Berlon has been involved in Democratic politics for more than three decades. He has been a candidate for office, recruited and worked with candidates in both local and statewide campaigns, sponsored countless fundraisers and promoted Democratic ideals.
