Scott’s All-Stars went 2-2 at the AAU National Tournament from June 30-July 4 in Hampton, Va.
All-Stars founder Marcus Scott said he was impressed that this year’s squad made it to the national championship bracket instead of the classic bracket.
“We are definitely headed in the right direction,” he said
Scott said his boys lost to 6th Man Sports and MD Sports Scholars in the semifinals and championship games respectfully.
“So we lost to two of the three best teams in the tournament,” Scott said. “I am very proud of our team’s accomplishments on the court, but I’m more proud of our team’s accomplishments in the classroom. Our team maintained last year’s GPA with more students. Our team GPA is 87.”
After the tournament, the players visited Norfolk State University.
“Last year, they visited Hampton University, so they got to see the difference between the two colleges,” Scott said
The All-Stars will host their Spring League championship this weekend at the YMCA starting at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. They will host a camp July 18-24 at the Liberty County Recreation Department. The camp is for kids ages 7-18 and runs from 9-11:30 a.m.  The camp fee is $30.
