Hinesville Police Department blotter

July 3: A store owner on West Oglethorpe Highway reported spotting an armed robbery suspect in his store. The suspect agreed to speak with police, who confirmed he had an active warrant in Liberty County for armed robbery. The suspect also was found to be in possession of marijuana during a subsequent search.

July 7
• A resident of Fraser Circle reported his storage unit broken into. The man said he shares the unit with two other friends but has only one key to the unit, and the key was lost. Two rifles, one pistol and one shotgun, valued at a total of $3,850, were taken.

• A man was cited for possession of cocaine after being pulled over for a center turn violation. The driver of the vehicle repeatedly evaded the traffic stop and behaved suspiciously during questioning on the scene. The suspect reportedly tried to conceal the cocaine in his mouth during a search while in custody.
