The scholarship, valued at $1,000, is funded through gifts made by college faculty and staff members and is awarded to students based on academic achievement.
The students receiving the scholarships will be recognized during the fall commencement ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Johnny Mercer Theatre.
According to Verlene Lampley, vice president for student success and scholarship committee chair, the thirteen recipients represent the largest number of scholarships awarded during a given year.
“We are very pleased with the growth of the scholarship over the past three years,” Lampley said. “Our faculty and staff are to be commended for their continued support of this scholarship.”
