Excercise brings suspicious activity

POSTED: November 3, 2007 5:01 a.m.
An installation force protection exercise at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield next week may cause traffic delays.
Soldiers, family members, civilian employees and visitors should also be aware that, as part of the exercise, suspicious activity by role-playing individuals may be observed. Report suspicious activity to the Fort Stewart Military Police desk at 767-4895/2965 and Hunter Army Airfield Military Police at 315-6133/6134.
The exercise, Stewart-Guardian 07, runs Oct. 22-26 and will test the emergency preparedness and response of Fort Stewart.
According to the post’s public affairs office, exercises such as these ensure the installation is ready for any situation that might occur here.
Soldiers, family members, civilian employees and visitors should anticipate delays at installation entry points and increased emergency vehicle traffic on the installation during the exercise.
