Sound off for Nov. 16

POSTED: November 16, 2011 11:27 a.m.

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Please, Buffalos, close your bar area to children on football days. They distract all of us. We’ll be back when it’s kid-free.

I want to know why myself and no one else who voted in the city of Ludowici had the tax commissioner or sheriff on their ballot. We pay county property taxes, and we’re policed by the sheriff’s department, yet no one who lives in the city limits had the right to vote for either one of these elections. That’s taxation without representation, and it is wrong.

You spell Arlington Park wrong on the message that I left last week that came on the paper last Sunday. It is Ar-ling-ton Park on 196. Thank you.

What will it take for the police to remove the vagrants out of our city parks? They trash the parks and keep the general public out. The police have been called several times. One person has been living in Main Street Park for over two years.

Would a man rob God? And would he sow and keep others underneath his feet so that they he could not prosper? God says, “Whatever you do to the least of my little ones, you do it unto me.” One day you will have to face him when he assigns your destiny to you.

It is not hard for single ladies to find a single man. Find a Christian man. Always remember: Going to church does not make you a Christian.
