Mikia Frazier was a double winner at the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club’s holiday pageant Dec. 10 at Midway Middle School.
Frazier won the titles of Miss Hi-Fidelity and Miss Pink Rose at the event. Frazier, a sophomore at Liberty County High School, is the daughter of Micheal and Debra Frazier.
First runner-up was Jaqisha Sharonda, an eighth-grader at Lewis Frasier Middle School and daughter of Cathy Boyce and Joffre Danielly.
The pageant’s second runner-up was Tamia Lashae Johnson. She is the daughter of Andrew and Terelle Johnson and attends Snelson-Golden Middle School.
Since 1955, the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club has worked to contribute to the betterment of Liberty County through its college scholarship, charitable donations, special programs and the annual holiday pageant. The pageant — one of the club’s major fundraisers — supports the scholarship program and other activities while encouraging young ladies to recognize their inner beauty, take pride in themselves and make education a priority.
The members of the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club are Lily Baker, Yvonne Woods, Juanita Smith, Debra Frazier, Sarah Baker, Barbara Miller, Beverly Gross, Judith Joseph, Vernie Jean Luckey, Delieth Wright, Dorothy Wright, Elmenia Wilkins, Betty Frasier, Gale Dent, Raymond Dent, Marcus Scott, Marjory Varnedoe, Dr. Lennon Wyche, Valeria West, Rosa Walthour, Mary Mullice and Clara Pippen.
