2-1-1 has made news nationally by reintroducing the Calling for 2-1-1 Act, which is sponsored by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and co-sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Dole.
There are about 400,000 people within the Coastal Empire’s 2-1-1 coverage area who can access their services by dialing 2-1-1 from a home phone. With the passing of the Calling for 2-1-1 Act, Georgia could receive funding to expand these services across the state, providing area citizens with a streamlined process of receiving health and human service information, as well as providing the opportunity to donate goods and volunteer services by using one easy to remember phone number (2-1-1).
Cell phones must dial (912) 651-7730. Visit www.211.org to or call 1-888-PASS (7277) -211 to extend your support.
