Jan. 31
• A resident of Dover Lane reported a fraudulent withdrawal of $1,260 from his checking account.

• A resident of South Main Street reported a $1,500 laptop taken from his home. The resident told police a friend noticed his property manager handling the laptop inside his apartment. The property manager told officers he only looked at the laptop to gather contact information for the resident, who was in the process of moving out.

• A resident of Dykes Street reported the theft of a washer and dryer, valued at $1,300.

Feb. 1
• A property owner on Pipkin Road reported more than $1,400 worth of copper wire, meter boxes, construction materials and an air compressor stolen from a shed on his property. The owner told police he believed contractors hired to tear down old trailers may have taken the items.

Feb. 2
• A sports bar patron was cited for public drunkenness after he threatened another customer in the parking lot on E.G. Miles Parkway. The man was arrested after police responded to a reported disturbance in the parking lot, where several adults were seen arguing.

• A resident of South Main Street reported the theft of a laptop, valued at $450.

• A sandwich shop employee reported the theft of a money bag containing $672 from the store on West Gen. Screven Way.

• A woman was cited for marijuana possession and failure to yield to a stop sign after officers conducted a traffic stop on East Oglethorpe Highway. The woman’s vehicle contained several air fresheners believed to mask the odor of marijuana. A K-9 officer registered a hit on the vehicle, and a search turned up a cigar filled with marijuana leaves and two burnt marijuana roaches.

• The owner of a restaurant on West Oglethorpe Highway reported a theft in December of $1,800 from the restaurant’s register. The owner told police his security cameras recorded a known vagrant entering the restaurant and taking a bag of cash from the register, and then promising repeatedly to return the money when he later was spotted by the owner.

• The same restaurant reported the theft of an employee’s iPhone worth $700 from behind the counter. The complainant told police a man came in to order food and insisted on standing near the counter. Security cameras recorded the man reaching over the counter and grabbing the phone.

Feb. 3
• Police charged two men with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after conducting a traffic stop at Bradwell Street and East Court Street for a broken brake light. One passenger was suspected of eating marijuana and had bits of a leafy green substance in his teeth. A marijuana grinder and a baggie of marijuana also were  found in the vehicle’s front seat.

• A resident of West Oglethorpe Highway reported a burglary in which a laptop, watch and blank checks valued at $450 were stolen.
