Fatal wreck reported in Long County

A Pontiac Grand Am lies in a ditch early Friday morning on Arnold Drive. The driver of the vehicle was killed when he reportedly lost control while driving at a high rate of speed and struck several trees.

A man was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Long County, according to GSP Trooper William Bowman and Adam Denton. The man reportedly was traveling at a high rate of speed on Arnold Drive near Pearl Davis Road when he lost control of his 1995 Pontiac Gran Am. The vehicle veered off the road, struck several trees and rolled over. The driver was ejected several feet from where the car rested, according to the troopers.
