Feb. 17: A woman was arrested at a business on West Highway 196 for possession of marijuana and a controlled substance after being spotted by her bail bondsman, who told police she gave him a false name during her bonding. Marijuana was found in the vehicle she was traveling in, and an Oxycontin pill and straw were found on her person.

Feb. 18

A juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana after he and one other male were questioned about pointing a laser pointer at a woman on South Main Street. The woman told police three males were sitting across the street from her business and pointing a laser pointer at her. The laser pointer was found near where the two males were sitting; during a search of the juvenile’s pockets police found a marijuana joint.

A convenience store on West Memorial Drive reported an armed robbery in which the suspect took an unknown amount of cash and a can of beer. The suspect could not be located after the incident.

Feb. 19

A woman was arrested for probation violation (speeding and driving without insurance) and possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on West Oglethorpe Highway for an improperly fastened license plate. Marijuana was found during a search of the woman’s vehicle.
