Henry “Hank” White Memorial Golf Scholarship applications will be accepted and must be postmarked by May 1 to be considered.
Several $1,000 scholarships are available.
• First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church guidelines:
Scholarships are available for graduating seniors who are First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church members and plan to attend an accredited college or university. An essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Applications may be picked up at the church.
• Bradwell and Liberty County High School guidelines:
Bradwell Institute and Liberty County High School graduating seniors who are not members of First Calvary may apply if they plan to attend an accredited college or university. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded at each school. An essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Applications may be picked up from each school’s guidance department.
• Child of active-duty service members attending Bradwell Institute or Liberty:
Liberty County public-school students who are children of active-duty service members may apply if they plan to attend an accredited college or university. An essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Applications may be picked up from each school’s guidance department.
• Undergraduate Liberty County resident:
An undergraduate community scholarship is available for Liberty County residents who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university. An essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Seniors at Bradwell Institute, Liberty County High School, children of active-duty military members and First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church members may not apply for the community scholarship. Applications are available at the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, 425 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville or First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 124 Rebecca St. in Hinesville.
The scholarships will be awarded at the annual Henry “Hank” White Memorial Golf Tournament.
