Liberty County Bass Club angler Ron Welch took first place during the club’s last tournament April 7 at Lake Tobasaki in Macon.
He caught five fish with a combined weight of 12.66 pounds. He also earned the big fish prize for landing a 5-pounder.
Newcomer Johnnie Lawson took second place at the tournament by landing five fish totalling at 9.19 pounds.
The club’s next tournament will be held May 5 at Santee Cooper in South Carolina.
