JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars launched on Thursday the first-ever Jaguars Caravan, a new initiative to generate excitement and recruit fans for the Jaguars in cities across Northeast and Central Florida and Southeast Georgia.
The Jaguars Caravan will put players, coaches, ROAR cheerleaders and other special guests in the traveling Jaguars and stop in seven cities to meet the team’s regional fans.
“We know that a lot of Jaguars fans live beyond our five-county area, so this is an effort to bring our ‘all in’ message to them,” Jaguars President Mark Lamping said. “We’re working hard to build and expand our fan base, and we want these fans to have the opportunity to meet some of the players they root for on Sundays. The caravans should be a lot of fun and we hope to see a great turnout in each city.”
At each stop, the travelling RV will arrive with coaches, players and cheerleaders who will meet with and sign autographs for their fans with music, food, interactive and inflatable games and drawings for prizes from the Jaguars and local vendors available. All stops are free and open to the public. Each caravan stop also will include a visit to a local community center by the group.
Here is the schedule for stops and a tentative list of players:
• Brunswick, Friday, 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, June 1, downtown Brunswick, corner of Newcastle and Gloucester streets. Scheduled participants: Tony Boselli, Jeremy Mincey, Brad Meester, Tyson Alualu, Laurent Robinson and Terrance Knighton.
• Savannah, 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, Charles H. Morris Center, 10 E. Broad St. Scheduled participants: Blaine Gabbert, Brad Meester, Greg Jones, Zach Miller and Tony Boselli.
