Dawn Baker, a news anchor for WTOC in Savannah, will host a literary luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at First Zion Baptist Church near Riceboro.

Baker has released her first book, “Dawn’s Daughter: Everything a Woman Needs to Know” and will discuss the book. According to wtoc.com, 20 percent of the proceeds from the book’s sales will go to the Dawning of a Miracle Scholarship, a fund Baker created to help young ladies with chronic or life-threatening illnesses go to college.

The church is west of Riceboro on E B Cooper Highway. The event is sponsored by the Hinesville alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
