Simple battery, criminal trespass and disorderly contact — Sandy Run Drive residents reported that several juveniles came to their home and requested to see their 20-year-old daughter. The parents asked the juveniles to leave several times because of aggressive Facebook posts they had made. When their daughter came to the door, a juvenile female tried to push past the parents and enter the home, and the girl hit the resident’s mother in the process. The juveniles all ran off, with the girls going in one direction and the boys in another. Another officer had responded to a call earlier that the juvenile girl who initiated the confrontation had been reported as a runaway.

Animal complaint — Officers received permission from the Division of Natural Resources to relocate an alligator from Lake Jordan after a resident complained that the alligator was a threat to children in the neighborhood. The resident reported that there are three gators currently in the lake, and officers reported seeing another in the middle of the lake while one was being relocated.

Theft by shoplifting — The loss prevention officer at Walmart said he watched two women place $268 in miscellaneous items into bags before leaving the store, having paid for only one or two items. The women were transferred to HPD for processing and were both issued citations and bonds of $812.
