Things slowly picking up in area

Well, friends and neighbors, looks like the rain has passed, but the weather report is 6-to-8-foot seas. Be careful if you are out there this weekend.
I would like to take a moment to talk about an article from two weeks ago. I submitted a photo of a fellow from Louisiana holding a 32-inch redfish. The key word being “Louisiana.” To a reader who questioned the Georgia limit on redfish, if the reader would have read a little further, he would have seen that I explained the regulations are different. The creel limit is three, and you may keep one over 30 inches. No complaints; at least he was looking at the article and the picture. Thanks for the feedback.
I have heard from my friend Capt. Eric Moody down on Jekyll Island, and he says things are slowly picking up. They are catching whiting and a few trout around the beach. My friend Capt. Jim Sherdian reports one party last week caught three spottail, 15 whiting and seven nice flounder.
Speaking of flounder, why don`t you light up the grill and give this recipe a try sometime? It takes two to three pounds of flounder filets.
2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
½ cup of Parmesan cheese.
¼ cup butter melted
2 1/2 cups of Dukes mayo
3 tablespoons chopped green onions
¼ teaspoon of sea salt
And last but not least (do not laugh just try it) sprinkle some McCormick’s steak seasoning into the mix.
Coat a piece of heavy duty foil with nonstick spray. Place the filets on the grill and baste with lemon juice. Roll the foil up around the edges but do not wrap around the fish. Close the grill and cook for about four to five minutes. Now mix together Parmesan cheese, butter, mayo, onions, salt and the McCormick`s seasoning. Grill another four to five minutes. Then find a nice spot to sit, grab one from the cooler and enjoy. Let me know how it goes.
I will be hitting the docks this weekend with Capt. Hippie and maybe Boo Hall. I will let you know next week how that went.

So remember what Ol Tight line always said: Get out there and go fishing, and if you do, always remember to keep a tight line. I say get out there and wet a hook — it’s good for the soul.
