Sen. Tommie Williams, the event’s keynote speaker, administered the oath of office to the following officers: President Kadee Dasher; President-Elect Don Melton; Secretary Rita Deen, Treasurer Joan Robbins, and board of directors members Cathy Atkins, Deeotha Johnson, Terry Sellars, Elise Stafford and James Wasdin.

The new chamber board members are Deen, Melton, Wasdin and Stafford.

County Line Barn Feed and Tack Store was named the Long County business of the year. The store, which is owned and operated by Ricky and Karen Waters, has been in operation since 2007. Last year, the store added a large barn and increased merchandise to selling feed and tack, in addition to horse and specialty products. The group also presented scholarships to two Long County High School graduates, Ruth Francis and Sarah Barrett.
