According to Liberty County Sheriffs Office Det. Dennis Davis the department is investigating the stabbing of a woman who has been transported by ambulance to Winn Army Community Hospital with non life threatening wounds.

Davis said the woman, who has not been identified, was stabbed two or three times. The detective said the stabbing may have resulted from an altercation.

Another woman, who is alleged to have been involved in the stabbing, has been detained for questioning.

The stabbing occurred shortly before 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Halstead Road in Gum Branch.

The case is currently under investigation.
