Charity Crowell of Hinesville earned a spot on the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Alabama.

To qualify for the list, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and 12 credit hours.

Charity Crowell also was accepted recently as a member of Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society at Alabama.

Phi Sigma Theta is a national honor society that recognizes and rewards academic achievement for undergraduates at institutions of higher learning.

Crowell is the daughter of Mavis Crowell of Hinesville.
