Hinesville Mayor Jim Thomas recently signed a proclamation for National Night Out. The event, intended to promote citizen support for anticrime efforts, is slated for 5-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, on Central Avenue. Inclement weather last week led to the event being rescheduled.
