HPD blotter

POSTED: September 4, 2012 12:49 p.m.

Aug. 1: Criminal trespass and disorderly conduct — A property owner who previously contracted with a local realty group to manage his rental property reportedly went on a tirade in the office, claiming that the company owed him money for repairs not completed.

The incident report explains that the realty company does not do maintenance work but contracts with another company to do so. The property owner reportedly left the office to meet with an employee of the maintenance company and check the work, but later returned because he was not happy about a text message he received.

The man reportedly went on an obscenity-laced tirade in the presence of customers and their children, and staff. Employees felt he was such a threat that they moved customers into offices and posted someone outside to keep people from coming in.

The man, who denied that he had yelled or swore, left without incident once the police arrived.
