Aug. 1: Disorderly conduct — A 26-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after her mother called officers about an altercation the two were having with a neighbor at Raintree Apartments. The complainant reported said she and her daughter tried to get her daughter’s boyfriend’s keys from another woman in the complex and a verbal match ensued. While officers were on the scene, the complainant’s daughter yelled obscenities at the other woman and kept trying to fight her, so she was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct. She was released on her own recognizance and issued a court date.

Simple battery and simple assault — Officers responded to a physical fight between a mother and daughter on Latham Court over finances. The mother reportedly had been helping her daughter pay some bills, and when the daughter discovered that she had a 401K, she told her mother she was going to use it to pay more bills and the women began to fight. When officers asked the mother why the fight escalated, the mother said she was angry that her daughter did not offer to use the 401K funds to reimburse her for the money she has contributed.
