Students in Dr. Jana Shields’ health, safety and nutrition class at Liberty County High School recently were certified in CPR and first aid. Shields and 13 students participated in a day-long training session with firefighter Casey Hale. At the end of the session, each participant took and passed a skills test.

A second set of students will complete the training in the spring.
