POSTED: November 18, 2012 12:51 p.m.

A Friday fire in Hinesville left a family homeless but uninjured. Hinesville Fire Department Investigator Capt. Chris Moss said a 911 call about 3:30 a.m. reported a home fire in the 400 block of Club House Drive. Moss said it took firefighters 25-30 minutes to get the flames under control. The home was damaged by smoke and flames, but Bobby Smith, his wife and two children escaped unharmed. The Red Cross is providing support to the family. The fire’s origin is being investigated.
